politics in my hArtists?
is more likely than you think.

I'm an outsider, but I have to get the publicity of the election IRL through newspapers and TV, I can't go to videogame blogs or a cool place like hartists, not even Furaffinity, because politics are shoved into my face, i don't care about mccain nor obama, it doesn't concern me because i don't live in the US, but eh, they are the most influential nation of the planet, I know, but this propaganda and dogfight gets annoying.

*gives Klest a hug and a cookie*
Truer words were never said, man.
I was born and raised in the US. I voted when it was needed; Mostly because it was shoved in my face that I HAD to.
But now I live outside the US, and (thankfully) I couldn't give 2 shits about the elections. Why? Because in the end, unless Obama can make some serious changes to fix the major fuck-ups caused by Bush, the country is still fucked. The ecomony has been in a downward spiral lately, and I doubt a new face in the captain's chair will be able to rectify that any time soon. If I get proven wrong, I'll be incredibly surprised.

But yeah, all the same... Why do we need to even discuss this shit here? We come to places like this to GET AWAY from that crap. *supports Klests's banner 100%*

I dont think anybody really thinks that the economy is going to be magically fixed the second Obama gets into office, hell he may not even be able to do it in one term. But i am quicker to believe a man who basically came from poverty and food stamps himself would have a much better idea of what the working people are going through that a guy with 13 houses god knows how many cars. As for the election being big news all around the world, yeah no shit it is. We went through 8 years of one of the worst presidents ever to sit in the oval office, plunged the economy into this shit hole mostley due to his little war with the country that had nothing to do with 9/11. Now you have the biggest voter turn out in a very long time, big youth vote, first time voters, who came out to try do set this shit right. Plus if thats not enough, you have Obama who will be the first African American to be president since...ever! This is some shit alot of people( myself included) never thought they would see in their life time. Two of my best friends and my father didnt get to see this happen in their lifetimes! So i'm not surprised that this is news everywhere, its a pretty big milestone.

well, election's are elections... people are gonna talk about it everywhere, you just get used to it... This was my first time voting, so it has some significance to me, tho I will say people shouldn't 'force' the news of it to other countries, it's also not fair to say that they shouldn't know. The most concern wasn't for the election, rather the winner of the race fixing the US' economy, because it that fails, the world will feel it ( just like in the great depression.... or the great depression 1 .... at this point)

@darkloardpocky
Dude, I love your gift. Almost fits my name.

Back on topic, yeah, I feel your pain on the dominated TV/News waves, but at least it is over. However, m8, I'd REALLY REALLY LOVE to see a major daily spammage of your ads! "STFU '08 - Plz u will!"
